Stress away with Tulasãra

Are you sometimes totally exhausted; that you don’t have any energy anymore, because maybe you’re stressed out, worried or have insomnia which causes you tiredness? If you have too little energy, you’ll easily feel lazy, miserable and listless. After a while you’ll literally and figuratively feel under the weather. In a word, you’re out of balance.

It’s not only that it’s mentally bad for you. This also leaves traces on your skin. For instance stress. Stress produces cortisol, a hormone that makes that you can handle a stressful situation, but if there is too much of it, it can cause you negative consequences for your skin, namely tired eyelids or redness, eczema, itch, dull skin, fine lines and so on.

When I have stress and a lack of sleep, then I get rash faster or I see little bumps on my forehead. If that happens, I will be careful with food and try to eat right as much I can. Come on with those vitamins, haha. What also helps for me is going to the wellness to find peace of mind and I try products to take extra care of my skin.

Test results that are focused on the sensory aspect, have proven that 85% of the women have noticed that their skin turns directly more radiant and 94% told that their skin feels directly softer, more fine and nourished – Aveda.

Meet Tulasãra
Recently I’ve been using Radiant and Calm Concentrate from Aveda’s new line Tulasãra. Tulasãraconsists of products, cleanse skin rituals and professional facial treatments. Did you know that Tulasãra means ‘moving to balance’ in Sanskrit? Anyway, with the new line the natural resilience of the skin will accelerate.

The ‘Radiant’ soothes the skin and improves the resistance of the skin in the long term. If you have redness and irritations, then this product helps to reduce these things. It’s also known for its softening features that calms the charisma of the stressed skin. The ‘Calm Concentrate’ softens the skin and makes it stronger and more resistant. Also, the box is made of 100% recycled fibers. I already love it! In combination with the ‘Radiant’, the skin will be more in balance.

How to use
First, I removed my make-up with the cleansing water from ‘Garnier Skin Naturals’. Super fine product by the way! It removes my mascara in no time. Afterwards I rinsed my face with water. Before I could use the product, I massaged my face, neck, décolleté with a dry brush by making circular motions. For the tutorial: www.aveda.com/tulasara.

It’s time to put the ‘Radiant’ on my face, neck and décolleté. It smells lovely, like you’re in a spa. The oil is thin and feels totally not greasy! After rubbing it on my skin, the oil quickly absorbed and my skin feels soft. After 4 minutes, I cleaned my skin. My face feel light and fresh.

Subsequently I put the ‘Calm Concentrate on my face. The oil is even thinner than the ‘Radiant’ and it absorbed even faster. In the beginning it smelled very strong, but after a while it was less strong. My skin felt even softer. It was like touching a baby skin!

The next day my skin still had that velvety touch. I did take a look to see if the bumps on my forehead that was caused by stress, were gone, but unfortunately no! It was reduced and did feel less irritating. According to Aveda, the skin barrier will strengthen after 8 weeks, whereby the resistance of the skin will improve in the longer term. So I’m going to wait patiently. But Will I recommend these products for now? Hell yeah! I feel and already see a difference, let alone about a few days. I will definitely use these on daily basis.

I feel oils are a bit hit and miss for me. I use rosehip when my skin feels dry – I’ve always wanted to try Aveda. These look beautiful.

So interesting! I’ve never heard of this one, but I absolutely notice when it gets cold, when I get tired, when sleep is lacing, etc, my skin takes the hit. Thanks for the recommendation!

I know of Aveda but this is my first time hearing about their Tulasara line. As someone with dry skin, I do love using oil-based moisturizers! I may have to check these out if I’m ever by an Aveda store.

I think I need to try something like this. I have used night creams/serums before, but always stop after seeing no results.
